Mongongo nut oil has a very high fat content and 45-55% of that are polyunsaturated fatty acids. 17% saturated fatty acid and 18% monounsaturated fatty acid.
Linoleic acid and linolenic acid are polyunsaturated fatty acids (known as omega-6 fatty acids) in this oil that contribute to cellular membrane growth and make it a great oil to add to blemish and scar creams/ointments.
Mongongo oil contains vitamin E which is an anti-oxidant that will slow the effects of rancidity and impart its anti-oxidant benefits to the skin which is great for anti-aging and anti-inflammatory products.
This is a light golden oil with a soft nutty aroma.
